As part of UFO Urban Flying Opera, Carlo Ratti Associati created what it calls “the world’s first crowdsourced graffiti” wall, thanks to a project involving thousands of people and a swarm of drones to execute their vision. The large-scale art installation in Turin, Italy features artwork that was submitted by people and slowly came to life with sustainable spray paint over the course of two days.
The finished graffiti wall is not only interesting to look at but it also serves to tell a story through color and objects. While the gray layer sets the scene, the magenta layer offers a representation of the local community and its public spaces and the final blue layer unites the pieces.
